Pregnancy Journey Timeline
A guided path from pre-conception planning through to postpartum recovery — what happens at each stage and why.
Planning Pregnancy
Before you conceive, a pre-conception visit reviews your general health, any existing conditions, vaccination status and folic acid supplementation, so you start pregnancy from the strongest possible position.
First Trimester
Your first visit confirms viability and dating with an early ultrasound. This trimester also covers baseline blood work, screening options, and guidance on managing common early symptoms like nausea and fatigue.
Second Trimester
The detailed anomaly scan around 18–20 weeks checks your baby's development in depth. Routine visits continue to track growth, blood pressure and any emerging risk factors.
Third Trimester
Visits become more frequent as you approach your due date. This is when growth scans, positioning checks and your delivery plan — including your preferred hospital and birth preferences — are finalised together.
Delivery
Labor is supported with continuous attention, aiming for a safe normal delivery wherever possible, with hospital-based surgical backup immediately available if a caesarean becomes medically necessary.
Post Pregnancy Care
The postpartum visit reviews your physical recovery, addresses any concerns, and provides breastfeeding and newborn care guidance so you feel supported well beyond delivery day.
