Emergency & Urgent Care

How to recognise when urgent attention is needed, and the fastest ways to reach us.

Act Promptly

When to Seek Care Right Away

Most pregnancy and gynecological concerns can wait for a scheduled visit — but a few symptoms warrant urgent attention. If you notice any of the following, contact us immediately or go directly to your nearest emergency department.

Heavy Vaginal Bleeding

Soaking through a pad within an hour, at any stage of pregnancy or otherwise.

Severe Abdominal or Pelvic Pain

Sudden, intense pain that does not ease with rest.

Reduced or Absent Fetal Movement

A noticeable drop in your baby's usual movement pattern.

Severe Headache or Vision Changes

Especially with swelling — can signal a blood-pressure emergency.

High Fever

Fever above 100.4°F (38°C), particularly with chills or pain.

Fluid Leakage Before Term

Any gush or continuous trickle of fluid before your due date.

This list is not exhaustive. When in doubt, it is always safer to call or come in than to wait.
